Ling Haipeng

Ling Haipeng was born in Liao Ning, China in 1987. He graduated with a Master's degree from the Chinese Painting Department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. He is now an independent artist based in Beijing.

His art is distinct due to his unique approach to ruler painting. He uses calculation and model construction to reinterpret traditional aesthetics, often addressing themes related to tradition.

His works have been collected by various art institutes such as the Art Museum of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, Yixuan Art Museum, New Star Art Museum, Liuhaisu Art Museum, and the E LAND group of South Korea. They are also part of numerous private collections.

He has held solo exhibitions like "Consistency" at Platform China-dRoom, Beijing, 2022; "A Record of Contemporary Ink Art in Northeast China" at LAFA Creativity Space, Shenyang, 2021; and "Branch" at Platform China-dRoom, Beijing, 2020.
