Tony NG
Born in Hong Kong, Tony Wu obtained a diploma in Chinese ink painting from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1986. Recently, Wu has been exploring his work and particularly his view of nature from a variety of mediums: installation, photography, public art, sculpture, and land art.
Wu’s works were featured in more than 70 local and overseas exhibitions, including the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial Exhibition (Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1983,1989,1992,1994), New Ink Art: Innovation and Beyond (Hong Kong Museum of Art, 2008), Legacy and Creations - Ink Vs Ink (Shanghai Art Museum and Hong Kong Museum of Art, 2010/2011), 1st Land Art Biennial – Mongolia 360° (Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery, Ulaanbaatar, 2010), among others. He has received several awards including, the Hong Kong Urban Council Fine Arts Award (1994) and 10th National Art Exhibition Award (2004).
Ng’s public art is represented in Hong Kong at K11, The Four Seasons Hotel, VIP Room of Hong Kong International Airport, Wet-land Park, Hong Kong Health Department, Police Headquarters Building, TST Centenary Memorial Park, Sai Kung Visual Corridor, among others. His works have been collected by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and many private collectors.
